At the end of May, I went to see my local GP about pain I had on my left hip, which radiated down my left leg, causing me to limp or waddle from side to side when walking. I was prescribed two different types of painkillers and had an x-ray which proved to be normal. I was told I had referred pain, and if I needed more painkillers to go back to my GP. It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation to you. I have suffered over 25 years of back pain. Going through all the processes of visiting doctors, physiotherapists, specialists, doing exercises every morning for half an hour only to get a short relief of pain. At one stage about 15 years ago I had a special tailor-made corset with two strips of steel down the back to keep my back straight, had some effect while wearing but very uncomfortable. I had given up on all treatments and had decided I would have to live with the pain which was like sciatica continually. Standing at work, sitting at home even sleeping was a problem there was absolutely no respite. Then one day (sounds like a fairytale) I was passing Frank McBride's shop/clinic thought what have I got to lose. made my appointment went first time for consultation, Frank told me my spine was a bit of a mess but he could help me. Amy was offered spinal and well being treatment by Frank McBride approximately 18 months ago. At the time, as a family, we were desperate for some medical help for Amy as she had started to walk almost bent double. She had x-rays done which showed some bending of her spine near her neck. Frank began to see Amy on a weekly basis where he adjusted her spine. During the sessions Amy was very relaxed and had an amazing feeling of peace when her session ended. Frank has been amazing, he has researched Amy's illness so that he knows exactly what he is dealing with and has also recommended foods and supplements containing antioxidants as Amy has a premature ageing condition called Cockayne Syndrome which means that her body ages quickly. He is dedicated to helping her and others and we were delighted in May this year when Amy had follow-up x-rays which showed her spine was completely straight - to the extent that the orthopaedic specialist told us ' continue whatever you are doing with her back as these are excellent results'. As the only treatment Amy was receiving was from Frank - these comments should go directly to him. Amy still struggles to walk upright as her condition also affects her neurologically but we take comfort that her spine has improved and that she is in good hands with Frank.
